Possibilities Await You!
On the first day staff will orient you to your new surroundings.

Our Vocational Institute: Lend a hand cooking in our catering course, or if you want to learn carpentry or metal work, go and join the course.   Have your hair plaited by our Hair Dressing students!

Academic Enrichment Program takes place in the morning. 50+ village children come to the Campus for tutoring in Math and English, plus time for soccer, dance and drama, arts and crafts and fun. The teacher will put you to work with what is comfortable for you. Porridge and bread is served.

Spend a day in Kampala – We will transport you to the city where you can explore the ins and outs of this major city. Visit craft markets, farmer’s markets and have a delicious lunch (tilapia is a recommended specialty) over-looking Lake Victoria.

Local school visit – Engage at an elementary school nearby where Connect Africa Foundation sponsors many attending students. Spend the day and enjoy school lunch with them.

Medical interests – Meet our local nurse in Jogo at her store front and watch her as she tends to the medical needs of the villagers.  We can further arrange for you to visit the major hospital, Mulago, in Kampala.

Other interests:
  • Visit the Bahia Temple (one of only seven in the world)
  • Attend an English service at the local church
  • Visit Jinga and take a boat out and stand on the rock that demarcates the spot of the Source of the Nile
  • Eat fish dockside on Lake Victoria; travel through tea, sugar and maize plantations
  • Ask us to arrange mountain gorilla trekking tours

Enjoy Africa from the inside!

"I taught at a near-by school for two of the weeks then tutored a small group of girls the last week. Every Saturday at the guest house I helped with the educational enrichment. Everyone at the guest house, school, and the children on Saturdays were welcoming and so kind. Every aspect of my trip was more than I had hoped for. I would love to return soon. Connect Africa is an extraordinary place and experience." D.O.2019
