The Difference We're Making
260 loans have been given since 2005, which have positively impacted over 2500 family members . 92% of the loans have been successfully repaid. 100% of our students that met National Entrance Exam standards were able to pursue higher education. 92% of our students finished primary school (7th grade) vs only 32% in the general population. (Due to poverty, gender challenges, child labor and early pregnancies/marriages.) 76% of our students have completed their program of study and are meaningfully employed. (World Bank reports that 17% of young Ugandans aged 15-24 are employed.) Only 5% of our female students (4 of 75) have become pregnant.
